Case study

A senior Team Inspire consultant led the product marketing and GTM programme behind the successful international introduction of a new digital navigation product.

From global research and beta testing through to launch, channel activation and adoption planning, the programme shaped a validated proposition, an enabled international channel and a scalable GTM engine built to turn market interest into commercial traction.

The challenge

Introducing a new digital product into an established global maritime market required more than launching a campaign.

The organisation needed to understand how customers perceived its value, how easily they could use it and what could prevent adoption. Its proposition, positioning, messaging and customer journey all needed to work across different markets and operating environments.

The route to market depended on an international distributor network. The GTM strategy therefore needed to create demand among shipowners, fleet operators, buyers and end users, while equipping distributors to position, demonstrate and sell the product successfully.

The contribution

Embedded within the organisation, the Team Inspire consultant led the programme from global research and beta testing through to launch, channel activation and adoption planning across:

  • Global research and beta trials
  • Product marketing
  • Proposition, positioning and messaging
  • Integrated GTM campaigns
  • Distributor activation and enablement
  • Sales training and tools
  • Demand generation and conversion
  • Adoption and growth planning

Beta trials with customers, users and distributors across multiple markets tested product value, usability, positioning, messaging, customer journeys and barriers to adoption. The findings were used to refine the product experience and determine how it should be introduced, sold and supported.

That evidence shaped a fully integrated GTM programme spanning website and digital journeys, video, thought leadership, paid social, international events, live demonstrations and targeted demand generation.

A comprehensive channel-enablement programme gave sales teams and distributors the product training, demonstrations, messaging, video, customer materials and sales tools to create opportunities and convert demand.

Beyond launch, a two-year global activation roadmap set out the campaigns, channel activity and sales support required to sustain pipeline, adoption and growth.

The impact

The market introduction was successfully executed across the UK, Europe and Asia, combining targeted demand generation with coordinated sales and distributor activation.

First-quarter performance exceeded targets across pipeline generation and conversion, providing early evidence of market demand and an effective route to market.

The organisation moved from global beta to commercial traction with a validated proposition, an enabled international channel and a scalable GTM engine built to turn market interest into adoption and growth.
